For many individuals, especially children, their first experience in the water can be an uncomfortable one. The presence of cold water, inconsistent weather and an often intimidating environment can leave the individual more anxious about swimming than eager to splash! This is perhaps why inside swimming lessons which are heated have become one of the most favored and reliable methods of teaching swimmers to become at ease in water.

The main appeal of an indoor heated swim lesson is the comfort of the water temperature. Hot water relaxes the whole body, making swimmers so much more at ease. Students' muscles relax, their breathing synchronizes and they relax into the lesson, making it more attainable and less daunting for the learner. This is extremely advantageous for both beginners and babies having the lessons as they will present less resistance to water and more brain power to the instructors. Learners will be more eager and willing to participate as they will be more receptive to instructions and encouragement.

No outdoor pool to contend with also removes the annoyance of an unknown weather report, morning mists or out of the ordinary atmospheric change. Swim lessons are held at the same time all year round and swimmers' experience a good consistency from successive lessons meaning that their advancement can be sustained and regularly practiced. Children especially need this routine to establish consistency and familiarity.

There are also precious bonding moments going on during the indoor heated swim lessons. For little ones, particularly babies, having the parent around often facilitates this. Baby‘s first smile, giggle, successful splash are all noted and encouraging for bonding, as well as, early positive associations with swimming.

Choosing the right swim school makes a huge impact along this journey. Well designed swim school will also show understanding that every individual learns at various heights and depths. With experienced swim teachers, intimate swim lessons and cozy indoor swimming pool, swimming lessons may become an enjoyable activity rather then just a task.

When offering a safe, comfortable, caring environment for swimmers of any age, then Otterswim is my choice for Indoor Heated Swim lessons.
